The National Digital Literacy Programme (NDLP) was launched in March 2020 to make digital learning inclusive by equipping students with digital literacies to be future-ready.
As part of NDLP, MOE announced in 2020 that every secondary school student will own a school-prescribed personal learning device (PLD) by end-2021, as part of the Personalised Digital Literacy Programme (PDLP).
The aims of NDLP are to:
Support the Development of Digital Literacies
Support self-directed and collaborative learning
Enhance Teaching and Learning
They will use their PLDs to access platforms such as the Student Learning Space (SLS), Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Classkick, Kahoot, Nearpod, Padlet, for both in-school and out-of-school learning.
To support their learning experiences
To review their learning and close learning gaps
To collaborate with their peers and teachers
To continue to learn during home-based learning (HBL)
To explore topics of their personal interests and preferences
To learn and make use of digital tools such as calendaring and note-taking applications to enhance personal productivity and develop life skills
Students will be provided a suite of digital applications provisioned by MOE.
Similar to primary school, every secondary school student will be given a Google Workspace iCON account that provides access to email and Google productivity tools.
Every secondary school student will be able to access and use Microsoft Office tools that include Word, PowerPoint and Excel on their PLD.
Kindly note that the school will be sending PDLP information out to you via the Parents Gateway (PG) on 5 Jan 2026. This includes a letter that explains more about the programme, especially the PLD the school is prescribing, including funding information, device management etc.
For Singaporean parents, please complete the form “Online Edusave Standing Order (SO)” (https://go.gov.sg/edusaveformsgso) with your Singpass credentials to indicate your intention to purchase the school prescribed PLD. Kindly submit the Edusave form by Friday, 16 January 2026.
For permanent resident (PR) and international students (IS), a hardcopy consent will be passed to your child between 6 and 9 Jan 2026. Kindly submit the hardcopy by Friday, 16 Jan 2026. Payment instruction will be given to your child after we have collected the hardcopy consent form.
This will help us to facilitate the purchase as early as possible to aid in your child’s learning. If you have any query, please feel free to contact our ICT Manager at fong_kah_chun@moe.edu.sg.
Please note that the estimated timeframe for the PLDs to be issued to students is in Term 2 Week 1.

As part of the PLD initiative, all PLDs must be installed with the MOE Device Management Application (DMA) before they can be used in school. DMA ensures that your child/ward can use his/her PLDs safely and responsibly.
Lightspeed Systems® will be the DMA for Chromebook PLDs.
Parents have the following options to manage their child's/ward's after-school usage:
Default - School will configure all settings for the following timeframe:
School hours: 6.30 am to 2 pm
After school hours: 2 pm to 10.30 pm
Sleep hours: 10.30 pm to 6.30 am
Option A - Parent can modify DMA setting for the after school hours with the following options for sleep hours:
10.30 pm to 6.30 am (Default)
10.00 pm to 6.30 am
9.00 pm to 6.30 am
8.00 pm to 6.30 am
7.00 pm to 6.30 am
Option B - DMA will be inactive during the after school hours. No sleep hours will be implemented.
As the estimated timeframe for the PLDs to be issued to students is in Term 2 Week 1, you may indicate your preferred After-School DMA Parent Option nearer the PLD Rollout Day. More information on this will be shared with you at a later date.
