Higher Mother Tongue Language (HMTL) Eligibility 

HMTL offers students the chance to study Chinese, Malay or Tamil at a more advanced level. It is a four-year course leading to the Singapore-Cambridge Secondary Education Certificate (SEC) examination in Secondary 4. 

To qualify for HMTL, students must get either:

• PSLE MTL Score of AL1/AL2

OR

• HMTL score of Distinction/Merit

Outcome for 3rd Language Application

For students who have applied for 3rd language for Secondary School, you will receive the outcome of your application via Parents Gateway.
