Student Leadership Framework
Anchoring on the Student Leadership Challenge framework by Kouses and Posner - In Innova Primary School, we believe that everyone can be a leader in their own right even though they do not hold a significant or official leadership role in the school.
As a baseline, all pupils are given equal opportunities by their teachers in the classroom setting to take up informal leadership roles.
Level 1: Personal Leadership for All where leadership begins with personal leadership and the belief that the key toward leadership development is to lead themselves well. Pupils learn about self-management, personal skills and SEL through FTGP and PAL periods. Pupils are also given the opportunities to take up informal leadership positions in classroom settings.
Level 2: Formal Leaders where teachers will appoint their classroom committee members that allow them to exercise leadership at a classroom level. Every pupil has an opportunity to take up this level of leadership as it is done on a rotational basis. This allows teachers to have a better picture of who has leadership potential to progress to the next level.
Level 3: Student Leaders which include Prefects and CCA Leaders and these groups of leaders cater to the interests, strengths and needs of the pupils, the school and the larger community. They are provided with a platform to initiate, organise and manage events such as the Teachers’ Day Celebrations. They host parents and guests during events such as the Open House and Honours Day.
Level 4: Student Leaders Executive Committee where the committee is selected through recommendation by the teachers, an interview with the school leaders and voting by the pupils and teachers. They assist in the basic leadership training of the newly-appointed leaders. They also contribute to the community through various school-initiated donation drives.

Innovians are educated and encouraged to be secure online by holding a talk for them on digital defence during the commemoration of Total Defence Day. Lesson packages on SLS portals were also prepared to extend the learning.
Peer Support and Relationship (PSR)
Innovians feel safe, accepted and empowered in the Peer Support Relationships (PSR) structure which aims to create a supportive and caring environment.
Innovians through their role have developed skills in active listening, effective communication, greater
self-awareness and self-care.
