We believe in inculcating these values in every pupil by nurturing, guiding and supporting them.

VISION

MISSION

We strive to develop the pupils into good individual and
useful citizens by inculcating the right values
and building social and emotional competencies in them

VALUES

Integrity: To speak the truth and do the right thing for the right reasons

Self-discipline: To persevere and do the right thing

Teamwork: To work together to achieve a common good

Adaptability: To embrace change and make improvements

Respect: To treat ourselves and others with high regard

The aims of CCE in IPS are to inculate values and build competencies in our pupils and to develop them to be good individuals and useful citizens. Knowledge and skills are underpinned by values, which define a person’s character. They are important as they shape the beliefs, attitudes, behaviour and actions of a person.

The CCE Framework in IPS is represented by a windmill. The windmill uses wind energy to generate other forms of energy.

Our staff in IPS is being represented by wind energy. Our R3ICH and I-STAR values, which lie in the center of the windmill, form the core of IPS CCE framework. The handle of the windmill signifies the Social and Emotional Competencies – skills necessary for children to recognise and manage their emotions, develop care and concern for others, make responsible decisions, establish positive relationships, as well as to handle challenging situations effectively.

The competencies, just like the handle of the windmill, play a significant role in our pupils’ character development as they build a strong foundation in our pupils. The petals of the windmill represent the key CCE programmes which help our pupils to achieve the 21st Century Competencies. These important competencies, which are Civic Literacy, Global Awareness and Cross-Cultural Skills, Critical and Inventive Thinking and Information and Communication Skills, form the outer area of the windmill. They are necessary for the globalised world we live in.

Together, these competencies will enable our young to tap into the rich opportunities in the new digital age, while keeping a strong Singapore heartbeat. And thereafter to achieve the Desired Outcomes of Education: to be a Self-directed Learner, an Active Contributor, a Concerned Citizen and a Confident Person.
