Ms Candida Ho
(in-charge)
ho_wai_li_candida @moe.edu.sg
Ms Ho relishes meandering and rambling in cities and in nature, and trekking in the rugged wilderness. Climbing Mt Kilimanjaro, and traipsing through the Carpathian mountains to seek Dracula's castle are on her bucket list. She can also occasionally be found lying prone on the beach like a sunbathing walrus. Her idea of the perfect meal is fried chicken with a side of nanyang kopi. An unabashed fan of pop writer Stephen King, she watches and reads horror to unwind, and dreams of being a globetrotting researcher and writer in another lifetime.
Ms Faith Goh
(in-charge)
goh_li-ern
@moe.edu.sg
Ms Goh is a GP and Lit teacher. She did her degree at a small liberal arts college in Conway, Arkansas, majoring in English, Philosophy & Religion, but also taking classes in 101 Biology, Computer Science, Astronomy, and whatever else she found interesting. She is possibly as interested in the sciences as in the humanities, but only at a level where she can hold her own in a conversation at a dinner party. Right now, she’s really into stand-up paddleboarding and spends quite a lot of time at Sentosa.
Mrs Yap Huilin
yang_huilin
@moe.edu.sg
Mrs Yap currently teaches S1-3 for History. Outside of work, she loves to do gardening and knitting (current project of making a cardigan is too ambitious but hopefully can be completed in 2023 itself). 2 lovely kids and 5 terrapins to look after as well!
Ms Wee Xin Yan
wee_xin_yan
@moe.edu.sg
Ms Wee is interested in helping students make sense of the world around them. She enjoys designing learning experiences that encourage curiosity, thoughtful discussion, and real-world connections. Outside the classroom, she is particularly interested in learning through nature, including owling and nocturnal treks, and brings this spirit of observation and inquiry into her teaching.
Ms Tee Lay Hoon
tee_lay_hoon
@moe.edu.sg
Ms Tee spent most of her undergraduate days in Business Administration conducting marketing research (aka shopping). She subscribes to the basic tenets of Keynesian Economics - spend your way out of a depression. Her current curious pursuit is solving complex multidisciplinary problems. She travels vicariously through a constant digital diet of Japanology on NHK. She hopes to continue her streak of breaking bad, everyday.
Mr William Wee
william_wee_kek_heng
@moe.edu.sg
Mr Wee is a consummate digester of information that pertains especially to the obscure and weird. Supposedly empowered with a knowledge of linguistics and literary theory, he spends his time tinkering with his wheeled, non-motorised vehicles to avoid exercise in any form, be it cerebral or physical. He earns a living masquerading as a GP teacher.
Ms Foo Xiao Chih
foo_xiao_chih@moe.edu.sg
Ms Foo teaches EL and Lit. She’s not much of a theatregoer but sees parodies and standup as staples because we should always be ready to laugh at ourselves. She’s not athletic but will jog to relieve stress and trek epic distances to look for good food. She’s not a fan of housework but often prefers it to doing actual work. She thought Slam Dunk was the best manga ever (not that she’s seen many) – until her children introduced her to Haikyu. And even though she teaches writing, she finds writing about herself the most difficult thing to do.
