Parents/Guardians of students with special educational needs (SEN) are highly encouraged to attend a sharing session in school organised by our SEN officers. They will share on matters related to SEN and answer some of your queries.

The briefing session will be conducted on 12 Jan 2024, Friday and take place before the Secondary 1 Parent Engagement Session. More details will be provided at a later date.

For any queries, please contact Mrs Sheryl Mok, HOD SEN, at koh_yilin_sheryl@moe.edu.sg

Moving from primary to secondary education can be a daunting phase for our children. Faced with a greater number of subjects to manage, a new school environment to get used to, new friendships to forge and a range of physical, emotional and mental changes that come along with puberty, children will greatly benefit from their parents’ support in helping them make this transition smoothly.

Together with TOUCH Community Services, our school is happy to bring you an in-person workshop aimed at empowering parents in helping their children manage these changes and transitions into secondary school and adolescence.

The workshop will be held after our school's Secondary 1 Parent Engagement Session, and parents are strongly encouraged to stay for the workshop. The details are as follows:

Date: 12 Jan 2024, Friday

Time: To be confirmed closer to the date.

Venue: In school (exact venue will be confirmed closer to the date).

For more information on the workshop, please contact Mr Justin Seng, School Counsellor, at seng_wei_jian_justin@moe.edu.sg

Our school also works with another partner agency, Methodist Welfare Services, to bring the Triple P programme to parents.

Triple P is one of the world’s most effective, evidence-based parenting programmes that equips parents with positive parenting skills. It aims to empower parents, enrich family relationships and prevent behavioural problems in children by enhancing parents’ skills, knowledge and confidence.

The programme consists of a series of two online webinars, as well as optional one-to-one consultations with a trainer for parents who would like more support. There will be an upcoming run of webinars in January 2024, which is also specially catered for parents of Secondary 1 students.

The details for the webinars are:

Dates: 13 & 27 Jan 2024 (Saturdays)

Time: 2pm to 4.30pm (13 Jan 2024) and 2pm to 4pm (27 Jan 2024)

Platform: Zoom – More information and Zoom details will be emailed to participants at a later date.
