Managed Apple TV Onboarding Guide

Have the Apple TV remote, the Wi-Fi password for [SSID], and the room name ready. Throughout setup, you confirm each selection by pressing the centre button on the Apple TV remote.

Setup takes about 10 minutes per device.

Step 1

Power on the Apple TV.

Wait for the Apple logo, then press the centre button in the remote controller.

Step 2

Press the centre button again.

To the next screen to begin setup.

Step 3

Select the options for the following screens.

Language — select English. Region — select Singapore. Select continue on the Data & Privacy screen to proceed.

Step 4

Choose Set Up Manually.

Do not use the iPhone/iPad setup option.

Step 5

Choose Don't Use Siri.

Step 6

Select an available Wi-Fi network [eg. SWN@SSOE] from the list, enter the password, and choose Continue.

Step 7

Wait for the device to activate.

This may take a couple of minutes.

Step 8

Choose Agree to accept the terms, then Continue.

Step 9

Wait for "Configuring Apple TV" to finish.

Then choose Add New Room.

Step 10

Name the Apple TV.

Using the format SchoolCode-RoomName (for example, MayflowerPS-AVRoom), then press Continue. Setup is complete. The naming convention matters — it's how we identify where each Apple TV is located during support and asset checks.
