Setting up your mobile workspace is quick and easy! This onboarding process typically takes about 10 minutes of active setup, followed by a one-time configuration period.
Once you’re finished, you’ll have a fully functional Windows Cloud PC right on your iPad, allowing you to access your work files, desktop apps, and corporate resources from anywhere.
Get the App.
Open the App Store and search for "Windows App Mobile." Once installed, open it from your home screen and select "Allow" when prompted for Bluetooth and Wireless permissions—this ensures your accessories (like a mouse or keyboard) work perfectly.
Link Your Account.
Tap the "+" icon to add your Work Account. Sign in using your MIMS ID. You’ll receive a notification on your Authenticator app; go ahead and approve the MFA request to secure your connection.
Workspace Setup.
Your workspace is now being prepared! This part is automatic.
Hang in there! You’re officially halfway through the setup. Once this finishes, your Cloud PC is ready for its first launch.
Launch Your Cloud PC.
Tap on the Cloud PC thumbnail that appears on your screen.
Final Verification.
For your security, enter your MIMS password one last time to initiate the connection.
Grant Access.
When prompted to permit the remote desktop request, click "Yes."
Initial Loading.
Your desktop environment is being built. This initial load can take a few minutes, so it’s a great time to grab a coffee while Windows gets things ready for you.
You’re all set! Enjoy the flexibility of having your full Windows desktop on the go.
Next step, Secure Browser onboarding if you have not already done so.
NOTE: On the first login, iSHOP takes approximately 10 minutes to be visible in File Explorer. Subsequent iSHOP loading will be faster.
Optimize Your View.
To get the best experience on an iPad, we recommend two quick tweaks:
Tap the black Windows logo on the right side of your screen to open settings.
For Navigation: Select the "Touch" icon (middle icon) in the top row to change pointer mode.
For Clarity: In the resolution dropdown, select the "(Retina)" option. This will make your text and icons look crisp and clear.
