Day 5
Educational Visit to Taoyuan Disaster Prevention Museum
Our final day in Taiwan brought an eye opening visit to the Disaster Prevention Museum, where learning became truly hands on. Through interactive simulations and immersive exhibits, students gained a firsthand appreciation of Taiwan's climate resilience and emergency readiness. The experience challenged them to exercise critical thinking, adaptability, and inventive problem solving, evaluating how communities leverage technology and flexible strategies to safeguard lives against natural disasters.
Cultural Vist to Daxi Old Street
History came alive today during our visit to Daxi! Wandering down the historic trade paths, students discovered how a bustling river town transformed into a celebrated cultural hub. Beyond admiring the historic storefronts, they got up close with local culture at traditional craft studios. Watching artisans meticulously shape wood and prepare traditional delicacies showed our students the skill, patience, and pride behind local trades. Experiences like these help our students grow into thoughtful, culturally aware learners who appreciate the stories behind every place they visit.

As our Taiwan immersion trip comes to a close, our students return home with far more than souvenirs. From joining local classrooms and discovering rich cultural traditions to exploring historic streets, every experience offered valuable real world learning. By stepping out of their comfort zones, our students deepened their cultural awareness, adaptability, and cross cultural communication. They return with broader global perspectives, lasting friendships, and the confidence to thrive as future-ready Canberrans.
