Camps

Leadership Training camp (ltc)

Leadership Training Camp (LTC) is a camp where discipline, teamwork and leadership are the key priorities for reinforcement. Boys who go through the training at LTC learn also responsibility and time management skills. New recruits also learn and are instilled with the core values and tradition of The Boys’ Brigade.

LTC occurs during the first weekend of the March Holidays each year. In 2024, LTC will occur from 8-10 Mar 2024 (Friday evening to Sunday evening).

company camp

The Company Camp is an end-of-year camp which aims to allow Boys to bond with one another and celebrate the end of the school term through various fun and interactive activities. Outdoor and experiential learning, such as through an adventure hike around Singapore, can also be covered in the Company Camp.

Company Camp occurs during the first weekend after Term 4 ends at the end of October each year. In 2024, Company Camp will occur from 25-27 Oct 2024 (Friday evening to Sunday evening).

*Do note that camps are compulsory and are necessary for the completion of core badgework. Completion of badgework is necessary for promotion in rank as well as fulfilling the LEAPS points for entry into JCs and Polytechnics. Most importantly, the programme is designed to align with the school vision of developing "Generations of educated men who are God-fearing and growing in Grace".

The camps are also essential to providing a holistic experience in the Boys' Brigade. Boys also forge strong and lasting memories and friendships during these camps. We highly encourage Boys to avoid planning on going on holidays during these periods.

Holiday Programme - BB Share-a-Gift (BBSG)

BBsg car flag-off (CFO)

The combined 12th Company, consisting of BB Boys from ACS (Barker Road), ACS (Independent), ACS (Junior) and ACS (Primary) participate in the annual BB Share-a-Gift (BBSG) project through a Car Flag-Off event in December. Volunteer drivers, including parents of the Boys, partner with us to deliver food items and gifts to the disadvantaged community in Singapore.

In 2024, the Car Flag-Off event will occur from 8 to 9 Dec 2024 (Fri and Sat).

BBsg warehouse & supermarket duty

Occasionally, Boys will also serve in the BB Share-a-Gift warehouse to pack food items that have been donated over the December period. Sec 3 Boys also serve at donation boxes at FairPrice outlets around Singapore to pack and manage donations that come from the public.

These duties occur over the December period and are subject to the Boys' availability.

*Participating in the BB Share-a-Gift project over the December holidays is compulsory for all Boys. Typically, Boys are required to serve a minimum of 15 hours each year, either through participation in the Car Flag-Off event and/or through warehouse/supermarket duty, as part of their badgework syllabus. Boys should take the participation in BB Share-a-Gift into account each year when planning their end-of-year holidays.
