Learning Account Management

In Bedok Green Secondary School, students will have a few learning accounts:


1. MIMS account (NRIC/FIN for login ID using school computer)

This is a network account where they can access the resources in the school network through school computers. The login ID is student NRIC/FIN and password is the same for MIMS / SLS / Student iCON account.

The resource drives are: 

(a) personal Work Space (H drive)

     This is where students can save their work with the school network storage and not accessible by any

     other network users.

(b) project drive (P drive)

     This drive is a platform where teachers can share the learning resources with students.

 

At any one time, each student can only login to the network access for one device at any one time.

For example, a student can login to the network through his/her PLD device, then he/she will not be able to login to the network via his/her mobile phone at the same time.



2. Student ICON email account (xx@students.edu.sg)

     This account shares the same password as your MIMS account. It is used for logging into student's PLD
     and zoom meet.     

     Please request from General Office if you have forgotten your ICON email address.


3. Student Learning Space (SLS) account 

    This is a learning platform from Ministry Of Education, Singapore, which teachers also use to
    complement independent learning. Students will use MIMS credentials (student iCON email address and MIMS
    password) to login.

    Teachers issue learning, tapping on the rich learning resources, to  enhance learning experience in
    students.



Password reset 

Students can make a password reset request at the General Office.

Should the request be submitted before 8 am, the password will be reset by 2.15 pm. Student will go back General Office to retrieve their new password. 

Students are required to set up their Self-Service Password Reset (SSPR) at MIMS portal (https://idp.mims.moe.gov.sg/nidp/app/login) by 29 February 2024 as the school will not be able to process any MIMS password reset request after 29 February 2024.

Full name, class, index number and NRIC/FIN must be clearly written in the request slip.
