At the last Online session, we saw a video that depicted a professional development goal-setting conversation where the IM shares with the mentee the Co-Assessment Summary (CAS) tool.
Now, we will be viewing the second part of the video that will show how the IM and his mentee engage in a collaborative review of evidence of the mentee’s teaching practice. The IM-mentee pair
co-identify the mentee’s strengths and areas for growth.
explore a Teaching Area that mentee wishes to focus for the year/half-year
discuss the do-able next steps the mentee would like to take to gain mastery in that Teaching Area.
As we watch the video, kindly do the following:
Using the CAS Tool (see below or Participant Packet Page 6), script for Mentoring Language sentence stems in the relevant boxes.
Consider what must be put in place in order to have a successful goal-setting session.
