Exchange Visit Between St. Michael Secondary School Penampang and Denmark Youths, Thailand and Sabah Indigenous Youths

PACOS Trust, an NGO working with communities around Sabah will host 10 Danish youth volunteers and 10 indigenous youth from Thailand and Sabah to facilitate a research trip and exchange to understand Climate Change and Preservation of Environment. As part of their visit, we would like to take the opportunity for them to have a short exchange with students from St. Michael Secondary School Penampang as this school is also actively promoting environmental issues to the students.

This programme is a collaboration with the Denmark Organization Operation Dagsværk which is a solidarity program based on volunteering by high school students. During Operation Day's Work (also called Solidarity Action Day), students get the chance to exercise a job of their choice instead of going to school for one day. They donate their salaries to youth-related projects from all over the world. Their visit to Sabah is part of their support to understand climate change awareness and environment protection by indigenous communities in Malaysia and Thailand.
