Hi there! I’m an English teacher at SK Semambu, Kuantan, and I’ve been in the teaching game since 2012—that’s almost 12 years of helping students fall in love with English across different levels of education. Right now, I’m teaching primary school kids right here in the beautiful district of Kuantan.
As someone born and raised in Kuantan, I was beyond excited when I got transferred from my first posting at SK Batu Kapor in Mentakab back to my hometown. Nothing beats being close to home, especially when “home” means familiar faces, local food, and good vibes all around!
In 2022, life threw me a curveball—I was diagnosed with tongue cancer. It was a tough journey, but thankfully, I was transferred to a school closer to home, which made everything a bit easier. I fought through it, came out stronger, and now, I’m back in the classroom doing what I love most.
These days, I’m not just teaching English—I’m also sharing life lessons and encouraging my students to dream big and aim higher than I ever could. Watching them grow, laugh, and learn makes every day in the classroom feel like a win.

The flipped classroom model transforms conventional education by encouraging students to explore new content outside of the classroom, such as through videos or readings, while reserving class time for more hands-on activities and enhanced interaction with the subject. This transition seeks to establish a more learner-focused educational setting that highlights active participation, teamwork, and tailored learning experiencesme before applying it in classrooms. It gives students more control over their learning and promotes student-centered learning and collaboration.
I hope that I can learn and indulge myself into flipped learning by creating a digital platform for myself.
