CHRONOLOGY
22/4/2025-24/4/2025 (Tuesday - Thursday)
Attended flipped classroom course at PPD Kuantan
25/4/2025-13/5/2025
1. Briefed the students about flipped classroom and Edpuzzle.
2. Informed parents about it in the WhatsApp.
3. Invited altogether 27 students from 3A to join my Google classroom. 3 students joined the classroom themselves. 24 students failed to understand how to join the Google classroom. Hence, I keyed in their MOE email address manually and invited my students. Yet, only 2 students accepted the invitation. Then, I asked the students to get their MOE email addresses from their class teacher and guided them to join my class in the Google classroom during my English classes. It took me 21 days to get all 27 students to join my English Google classroom!
(Amid the busy school events occurring in school ;25/4: photographer for larian rentas desa, being in charge of Dj-ing for the month of May for (HIP programme), preparing for 5M class English assembly performance on 19/5, being involved in rehearsals for teacher's day, attending prep meeting for Chinese Carnival: Our school's the host of the event (I was the one and only photographer-on-duty on 20/5) and preparing to record, and submit poetry recitation competition video for Kuantan district level which deadline's on 28/5. I need to prepare Year 6 English exam paper by 18/5. We also have EPSA ad SiPP AI courses to be completed by 21/6. And not to forget, we'd to prepare for Mdm Khaw's retirement on 28/5. 😢)

PLC & in house training for English Panel
1. Briefed the panel members and HM about flipped classroom
2. Taught them how to create Edpuzzle account using Delima Gmail account and explained about the benefits of using Edpuzzle to create own teaching content.
3. Created a Google site for English panel. Added the members of the panel as editors of the site so that they can share their videos from Edpuzzle there in the future.
13/5/2025 (Tuesday)
1. Informed the students about carrying out the flipped classroom and asked them to watch a video and answer the embedded questions.
2. The students were informed that they had one week's time (13/5-20/5) to log in Edpuzzle using their Delima Gmail account to watch the video and answer the embedded questions.
*Why were they given one week's time?*
1. 3A class only have English on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. On 14/5, they didn't have class because the students were involved in the performance practice during teacher's day rehearsal. On 20/5, my class couldn't be carried out since I'd duty as the official one and only photographer of Chinese Carnival for district level 2025.
21/5/2025 (Wednesday)
*Please refer to the lesson plan written in the tab entitled MY WORK 1 for this lesson plan. I carried out this lesson according to the lesson plan that I planned during the course in April 2025.
Pre-lesson: 21/27 students watched the video and answered the questions in Edpuzzle within the period of time given (one week: 13/5-20/5)
During lesson: Teacher carried out the lesson as planned. The students were divided into 4 groups (spring, summer, autumn and winter). Students watched the video of 4 seasons in the class. Then, in their respective groups, they wrote simple short essays about the different seasons.
Post lesson: Teacher took photos of the students' essays and post them in a single Google Document. The students will be briefed on how to comment on the Google document and give ideas on the essays.
Here are the photos of my students and their essays.
Teacher guided the students by their side. Most works were done independently by the students. They had fun writing and drawing pictures related to the seasons.
The final results of the Edpuzzle. 21/27 students watched the video and answered the questions. 6 students couldn't complete their assignment due to some reasons.
28/5/2025 (Wednesday)
Students were briefed on how to comment on Google docs using the smart board. One student logged into her account and showed her classmates how she commented on Google docs. Then, she completed her questionnaire using the smart board too. I managed to get another student to comment as well. The rest of the students would comment on the essays at home.
Please refer to the tab entitled stats for the results and statistics of the students' feedback compiled under a Google form questionnaire.
10/6/2025, Tuesday
Discussed with the members of panel about the students' feedback. It's up to the teachers whether they want to carry flipped classroom and it's up to the teachers to decide on how often they want to carry out flipped classroom for their lessons. They understand their students more, so they can customise their classes to suit their students' needs.
Teachers have extra options to help students to learn in a different manner.
The English panel Google site is open to all members of panel to share content with one another. Just in case we are teaching certain topics, we can use the materials there.
