PROJECT BASED LEARNING (PBL)
PROJECT BASED LEARNING (PBL)
A learner-centred approach where students gain knowledge and skills by investigating an authentic question, challenge, or problem – and creating a meaningful product or solution.
For normal learning, teacher teaches a topic first, then learners complete an activity. However, for Project-Based Learning learners explore a real challenge — and through that process, they learn the content, skills, and thinking needed. The learning happens through the project, not after it.
There are eight main steps involved in PBL. Refer to the diagram above.
