TRANSNATIONAL MEETING #3

Activities we realized during this transnational meeting:
A workshop on the theoretical framework of Visual Thinking Strategies (VTS).
Exchanging experiences (strengths and pitfalls) of implementing VTS.
Attending an 'English through art' language class in which VTS is applied .
Brainstorm on the possible integration of VTS in creating our language practice opportunities in a heritage context.
Creation of 6 language activities in a heritage context with the integration of VTS.
Testing out of 4 HeriTalk language activities (Spinning around the school, Painted Cave, A Market Visit Adventure and Las Canteras out and about.
Visit to the 'Art in democracy. Democracy through art' exposition.
Organisation of some informal activities to strengthen the social cohesion of the group.
The outcomes of this transnational meeting are:
- The creation of 6 language practice opportunities in a heritage context (focus: integration VTS).
- An increased expertise of the teachers involved regarding the integration of VTS in a language practice opportunity in a heritage context.
- Increased linguistic competences of the participating learner groups (=test audience) of EOI Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
- An increased awareness of heritage among all stakeholders.
- An increased understanding of the benefits of cooperation on a European level (among all participants).
- The optimisation of the project implementation thanks to the systematic meetings of the coordination group.
