TRANSNATIONAL MEETING #1

Delft - The Netherlands

January 8-13 2024

Activities for this transnational meeting:

- A workshop on heritage in general (outlining a theoretical framework)

- A workshop on heritage education and the integration of heritage in language lessons.

- Attending a language lesson in a museum (inspiration for creating language practice opportunities in a heritage context)

- Brainstorming session to shape our HeriTalk toolkit: creation of a template to present all language practice opportunities

uniformly in the toolkit, planning the division of work between the partners, discussion of quality criteria for the language

practice opportunities, ...

- Development of 3 language practice opportunities in a heritage context followed by the opportunity to be discussed,

assessed by all participants, making emphasis on feedback.

- Organisation of some informal activities to get to know each other better and thus strengthen the social cohesion of the

group.

The expected outcomes of this activity are:

- The creation of the first 3 language practice opportunities in a heritage context. Indeed, these activities form the basis of

our main output: the HeriTalk toolkit.

- The design of a template (of form and content) for the creation of language practice opportunities with clear agreements on

division of tasks and quality criteria.

- An increased expertise of the teachers involved regarding heritage and heritage education.

- An increased awareness of heritage among all stakeholders

- An increased understanding of the benefits of cooperation on a European level (among all participants)

- The optimisation of the project implementation thanks to the Erasmus+ Impact Exercise.
