Our Mission

In the CALM Lab, we conduct cognitive focused research with the goal of applying our findings to inform and better our community, and both graduate and undergraduate students play integral roles in conducting and reporting research in the lab. Our research program focuses on how individual differences in cognitive and motivational factors interact with environmental context to support the execution of future plans (termed prospective memory) in college students, healthy older adults, and patients with Alzheimer’s disease. The knowledge gained through our research is leveraged to enrich the lives of both students and residents in the Chattanooga community.
