Hamilton Elementary School PTA is dedicated to helping students receive the educational resources they need, in keeping with that goal, the Hamilton Elementary PTA offers (1) $500 scholarship to encourage students to continue their education beyond high school.
Scholarship Eligibility:

The KWC PTO Scholarship was created to recognize a former student planning to continue their education with a college, university, trade school or certificated program. The $500 scholarship is awarded annually to one applicant who meets the criteria of eligibility and submits all documents and attachments with the completed application by the specified deadline.
Requirements:
Applicant must be a senior in high school.
Applicant must have attended Kenneth W. Culbert Elementary School for a minimum of three completed years (grade levels).
Applicant must provide a copy of their letter of acceptance and commitment from the college, university, trade school, or certificated program the applicant plants to attend.
Applicant must provide a sealed transcript from their high school guidance counselor with a minimum GPA of 2.0.
Applicant must complete the application and if applicable, attach a one-page resume to include extra-curricular activities, awards/honors, and community service.
Applicant must provide two letters of recommendation; one academic and the other from a non-family member commenting on your abilities, reliability, determination, and capacity to achieve.
Applicant must write a one-page essay describing:
Your education and memories at KWC and why you would like to be considered for the scholarship.
Your most rewarding volunteer experiences and activities and how they have personally affected your life.
Scholarship Application Process:
Scholarship application, attachments, and essay will be judged by a panel of KWC PTO board members. The panel will review all information supplied with the application, including the GPA, however more importance is placed on the essay portion and letters of recommendation. Only applications that submit all required materials will be accepted and presented to the panel. All applications must be mailed. No hand delivered applications will be accepted.
The winner will receive a certificate at their high school awards ceremony from the current KWC PTO President. If unable to be presented in person at the awards ceremony, a formal letter will be mailed to the student no later than June 15th. The scholarship check will be made payable to the college, university, trade school or certificated program and mailed directly to the school. The check may be used for tuition, books and associated materials, or room and board for on-campus housing.

Provides college scholarships to the children of Virginia workers who have been killed or severely or fatally injured in a workplace-related accident.
Eligibility:
Applicant must be a student between the ages of 16 and 25.
The applicant must be a child of a parent whose work-related injury caused significant decline in family income and circumstances.
The applicant must be planning to pursue a post-secondary or trade school education in the Fall semester of 2022.
Completed application (either online or by email) is required.
The application package must also include a transcript of grades; a Student Aid Report (SAR); and, brief description of parent's accident.
( If the parent dies from the accident, a copy of the death certificate is required. If the parent survived the accident, current medical reports, including disability slip on the injured parent is required. )
A first report of injury of parent is required.
Two letters of recommendation are required.

This scholarship was established to provide an opportunity for young people across Virginia to pursue an education in criminal justice.
Eligibility:
Students must be a permanent resident in a Virginia county or city where their sheriff is a member of the Virginia Sheriffs’ Institute (VSI) and has authorized the VSI to conduct a direct mail special appeal to raise funds for the scholarship program.
Students, 18 and older, must be registered Virginia voters and provide a copy of their voter registration card. Students under the age of 18 are required to provide a copy of a government issued picture ID with their home address, providing proof of residency.
Applications must be submitted online with all required information by May 1, 2022. The deadline will be adhered to.
Two types of scholarships will be awarded, one to full-time students and one to part-time students. All the scholarship awards to students will be consistent, i.e. all check amounts will be the same, depending on the type.
Only majors in the criminal justice field will qualify for a scholarship. Those majoring in law or pursuing a career as a lawyer will not be considered a criminal justice major.
Only students attending Virginia colleges or universities for the 2022-23 school year will be considered.
Applications must be completed online and electronically signed or the student will not be considered.
Certificates of award will be mailed to the individual sheriffs’ offices by the end of May 2022.
After verification by the students of chosen college/major, checks will be made payable to the educational institution indicated on the application. College or university student IDs will be required to issue a scholarship check.

The Loudoun Robey Scholarships are funded by the Clarence L. Robey Charitable Trust which results from the life savings of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence L. Robey. Mr. Robey served as President of the Purcellville National Bank which became First Virginia Bank and is now BBT. Mrs. Robey originated the idea of having a library built in Purcellville; and, with the approval of the Town Council, she accepted the responsibility of raising the needed funds. Within a few years, the Purcellville library became a reality through her efforts. Both Mr. and Mrs. Robey had a great interest in community life, especially in the field of education.

This scholarship is offered to an eligible graduating Loudoun County high school student interested in pursuing a professional career in the creative arts (art, architecture, design, photography, etc.) The scholarship is to help fund expenses for higher education learning to include trade schools and universities with a preferred interest in a study abroad immersive experience.
Applicant must briefly describe the top two community service projects in which they participated and why it was meaningful to you.
Applicant must complete a five-paragraph essay, discussing why you should receive the scholarship to further your creative arts education.
The applicant must include a photograph or work papers of your creative experience (artwork, designed, photography, etc.) you wish the Scholarship Committee to consider.
A copy of the applicant’s high school transcript must be included.

This scholarship is for students wishing to attend an accredited institution of higher learning (either university or vocational) to study textiles in either manufacturing, design or fiber arts, etc.
REQUIREMENTS:
A page containing the applicant's name, address, contact information, high school, choice of higher learning institution & other pertinent information as desired.
A second page with the student's name and an essay of 250-500 words on the area of textile studies; highlighting the applicant's wishes to pursue and why.
1 letter of recommendation from a teacher/instructor or textile authority is recommended.

The Loudoun Road Runners Club aims to promote and support running as a lifelong endeavor for athletes of all ages and abilities. This scholarship is intended to support the next generation of running leaders who can help us meet those goals.
