Sometimes finding parking in proximity to the Capitol building can be a challenge. There is a limited amount of street parking surrounding the capitol. Please note that the parking garage on Madison Street 2 blocks east of the Capitol is now closed and unavailable.
We are excited to be able to offer a shuttle between the Capitol building and remote parking for Thursday April 9, 2026. See shuttle schedule below.

For Saturday, April 11, 2026 ONLY - we have made arrangements with St. Peter's Church and School for parking in the lot near the Southwest corner of the Capitol. more information.

Remote Parking Shuttle available Thursday 4/9/26
MAAE is offering a shuttle between a remote parking lot at the North Jefferson City Recreation Area GRAVEL Rugby field parking and the Capitol. The parking lot is located off Highway W just north of the river. Enter the address for the gravel parking lot marked in red on the map below at 808 Fourth Street, Jefferson City, MO 65109. Pass the paved parking lots on your right which are now closed due to pending construction.
The shuttle will run approximately every 10-20 minutes between 7:30am - 3:20pm.
If the gravel parking lot near the Rugby fields is full, you may find parking in the Commuter Parking Lot - on the East side of Highway 54. marked in orange on the map below. If you choose to use the COMMUTER PARKING lot, please text 314-306-7575 so we can arrange for the shuttle driver to pick you up!
-- NOTE: On the return to your vehicle, remember to alert the shuttle driver as you are exiting Highway 54 toward the lots.
NOTE: Shuttle Service is only available on Thursday, April 9, 2026.
We have not arranged for shuttle service on other days of Fine Arts Education Week.

Participants arriving by school bus are requested to unload their passengers at the Northwest corner of the capitol and have participants enter the building using the security checkpoint at the carriage entrance located under the south steps.
Bus parking is located near the amtrak station one block east of the capitol.
Reloading of buses may occur at the same location as the drop-off.
