Sometimes finding parking in proximity to the Capitol building can be a challenge. There is a limited amount of street parking surrounding the capitol. Please note that the parking garage on Madison Street 2 blocks east of the Capitol is now closed and unavailable.
We are excited to be able to offer a shuttle between the Capitol building and remote parking for Thursday April 9, 2026. See shuttle schedule below.

For Saturday, April 11, 2026 ONLY - we have made arrangements with St. Peter's Church and School for parking in the lot near the Southwest corner of the Capitol. more information.

Remote Parking Shuttle available Wed. 4/9/26
MAAE is offering a shuttle between a remote parking lot at the North Jefferson City Recreation Area Rugby field parking (lots A and B) and the Capitol. The parking lots are located off Highway W just north of the river.
The address of the paved parking area is: 909 Fourth Street, Jefferson City, MO 65109
If the paved lot is full, overflow parking can be found on the nearby gravel parking lot at 808 Fourth Street just one block north near the Rugby and T-Ball Fields.
The shuttle will run approximately every 10-20 minutes between 7:30am - 3:20pm.
NOTE: Shuttle Service is only available on Thursday, April 9, 2026.
We have not arranged for shuttle service on other days of Fine Arts Education Week.

Participants arriving by school bus are requested to unload their passengers at the Northwest corner of the capitol and have participants enter the building using the security checkpoint at the carriage entrance located under the south steps.
Bus parking is located near the amtrak station one block east of the capitol.
Reloading of buses may occur at the same location as the drop-off.
