The Missouri Alliance for Arts Education's work to strengthen arts education in Missouri would not be possible without the support of many volunteers, sponsors and donors. The Celebration Summit Gala provides an opportunity to gather together in celebration of our successes and to help lay a foundation for future work. The Banquet provides opportunities for fun, food and fellowship. The Silent Auction portion allows us to raise needed funds to continue to fulfill the mission of the Alliance and features works of art from our constituents as well as other items from our supporters.
Both in-person and online bidding is available for the Silent Auction.
Place your bids!
Bidding opens at noon on April 1, 2026
Bidding closes at 8:00pm on April 10, 2026

We are encouraging people to wear clothes that range from business casual to dressy.
Of course, there is a lot of flexibility in that description, but we encourage comfort with a nod to style. Tuxedos and evening gowns may be a bit too dressy, guests may wish to lean away from blue jeans and t-shirts. Suits, jackets, dresses, dressy blouses, slacks, golf shirts and khakis would all be acceptable attire.

Tips for a successful legislator visit:
Plan ahead!
Contact your legislator and arrange a meeting time that fits the obligations of your Fine Arts Education Day activities.
Tell your story! Each time one of our decision-makers learns about the hard work of your students and their teachers, we build a bridge that can support arts-friendly future decisions.
If you have a specific "ask" prepare a document (letter, note, card, flyer) and leave it with them.
Suggested asks:
Restore core funding of $10.1M to the Missouri Arts Council,
Restore funding of $1M for MO Humanities
Fully fund the Missouri Academies for $1.1M to eliminate economic barriers for students with limited financial means. (MO Academies of MO Scholars Academy and MO Fine Arts Academy share a line item in the state budget)
Take a picture of the legislator with members of your group.
Thank them for their service and their time. Handing them a few student generated notes are also helpful.
Let the Alliance know about your visit using this form.

Memories
MAAE's second annual gathering shifted in structure allowing for a cocktail hour, banquet, expanded silent auction, and opportunity for student interaction at the "Student Social." More than 30 legislators, 40 other adult attendees and 50 student guests were in attendance. Thanks to John and Carolinn Devos for their leadership and support.
2024 marked MAAE's first year of offering the Celebration Summit event as a way to say thank you to our many volunteers, sponsors and donors and highlighting the important work the Alliance has done and continues to do to strengthen arts education in Missouri. Held in the Lincoln Room at Jefferson City's Capitol Plaza Hotel, thirty-one guests enjoyed a cocktail hour, dinner, presentation and then many chose to join the students for the mocktail party at the culmination of the student Show-Me Arts Training.
