This world is based on our own school that we attend. The inspiration was given to us after one of our friends suggest the idea of creating something we all knew, to which was our school.
The Boudhanath Stupa in Kathmandu, Nepal, is a huge meditative monument created just after the death of Buddha. It is used as a site of worship and offering.
The temple consists of a giant dome with a Buddhist pyramid tower. This sits on top of huge steps shaped like mandalas. It is decorated with a pair of eyes representing Buddha's all knowing nature.
We were looking at landmarks and were inspired by the Sphinx and wanted to make it. So we did!
I've always wanted to walk on the Great wall of China. It is an interesting place!
The Nakatsu Castle is a Japanese landmark that we have recreated. It has five levels and is known as one of the three Castles on the Sea . It is used as a museum. We found making the triangular roof the hardest part to recreate the real life effect. We also made the rocks that held up the Castle on a slope by creating a stair effect so they would look like the photo. We chose this landmark because we loved how it is surrounded by water, that it has five levels, is historical and is used as a museum.
I chose the Pyramids because of their interesting 3D shapes and Egypt is an interesting country.
Our construction that we recreated is the Kinkaku-ji Temple in Japan. We chose this temple because we thought it would be easy to build but it turned out to be a challenge. We were inspired to build the Kinkaku-ji Temple because it looked cool. The building has lots of curves on the roof which also turned out to be a big challenge. The longest part to complete was finding the right environment. We made the land into a different shape so it looked the same as the real temple. The Kinkaku-ji Temple was made from gold and the roof was made from wood. We added banners to the outside of the wall to make it look realistic. After we got through all the challenges we found the build fun and enjoyed doing it.
We built our Woolworths with inspiration from our personalities. We took lots of time and effort to create this Minecraft build that in our words we call a special form of artwork. We used a lot of glass to create the effect of natural lighting. We tried our best to make our Woolworths as realistic as possible. We love our build and hope you do as well.
Our group chose The White House as our landmark to build. This landmark is a huge building from which the President of America governs the country and lives in with his family. We used many different techniques such as coding, spam building and Redstone building. Our inspiration was the recent US Election. We worked collaboratively to achieve this incredible build. We have included many rooms, staircases, levels, fireplaces, bathrooms, a stage, the oval office, a wooden room, elevators, a fountain and even included the President.
Our building techniques included /commands and various blocks. Our Big Ben has a base 97 blocks tall with vertical lines 3 blocks apart with 8 horizontal stripes. There are seven arches on each side, above them is a clock face with a gold boarder with 5 arches above the clock with a roof then a building with the continuation of the roof above that and to finish it off with a tall pole which has a point.
