A Hoot of a week! 🦉
It has been wonderful meeting with families and sharing all of the great things your children are doing at school! We have been busy learning, growing, and having fun together. This week, we learned all about owls and got to dissect owl pellets with our kindergarten buddies on Friday afternoon. It was a fun, hands-on experience, and the students loved discovering what owls eat!
We also began planning for our All School Meeting on November 6th, which our class will be leading. We are excited to work together to prepare for this special opportunity to share with our school community!

Mr. Baron will not be hosting schoolwide book fairs at UCS this year. Instead, I’ll be sending home Scholastic Book Order flyers for families who would like to order books. This is a great way to add new books to your home library while also earning books for our classroom!

GIRLS ON THE RUN IS COMING TO UCS in Spring 2027!
Girls on the Run Vermont (GOTRVT) is bringing Girls on the Run to UCS after school in Spring 2027! We’re excited to welcome girls in grades 3–4 for a fun, empowering season filled with movement, connection, and meaningful lessons that build confidence, friendships, healthy habits, and life skills.

On occasion, we might give students trident gum, tic tacs, lifesavers mints, hot cocoa, popcorn, or hershey's milk chocolate for something fun. As part of the district health protocols, we need to notify you of this. Please reach out to me if your child will need to opt out of this. Â
