Mountain Lakes High School
Hybrid A/B Rotational Schedule:
MLHS will operate on a hybrid A/B rotational schedule. The hybrid schedule will allow for in-person instruction for cohorts of students and online learning every day for all students. The hybrid schedule will take place Monday through Friday of every week.
All students will receive instruction in all classes each day. All students not in person, still follow along with classes from home. All students will participate in virtual instruction in the afternoon every day.
Creating A/B Groups:
Student groups will be created alphabetically by last names (exceptions will exist). There will be considerations when A/B groups are made for our Special Populations (Lake Drive, Special Education, ELL). There will be consideration for siblings and/or children that live in the same household.
Lunch:
Lunch will not be served. Students who receive free or reduced lunch will be given a bagged lunch to take home.
Student Drop-off and Dismissal
Students will enter the building by grade level through the identified entry points to help move students and staff into the building and maintain social distancing. The entry points will include the Gym/Atrium, Band/Choir Entrance, and Auxiliary Gym Exterior Entrances. We will be using the latest CDC Guidelines, which calls for no screenings at the doors. All parents will be expected to take their child's temp at home and if possible write it on the Daily Screening Questionnaire that they must complete and submit online by 7:30 AM. Students will enter the building socially distanced and report to their period 1 classes.
Students will be dismissed from school in a staggered movement by grade level.
