Planning

  • Scheduling decisions were informed by careful evaluation of the health and safety standards and the most up-to-date guidance from the New Jersey Department of Health (NJDOH), as well as the input of stakeholders about the needs of all students and the realities unique to our district.

  • School district policies were reviewed and confirmed to support in-person and virtual instruction.

Attendance and Instructional Time

  • School district policies for attendance and instructional contact time will accommodate opportunities for both synchronous and asynchronous instruction, while ensuring the requirements for a 180-day school year are met.

  • The school district will accommodate educators teaching in-person, hybrid, and virtual learning, in a way that allows all students to meet their required instructional hours for the day.

Field Trips, Extra-curricular Activities & Use of Facilities Outside of School Hours

  • No field trips will occur.

  • Extra-curricular activities will occur virtually, if appropriate.

  • Facilities will not be utilized by outside school hours.

Meals

  • Schools will operate on a 4 or 4 ½ hour session and lunch will not be served.

  • Lunch will be provided for the free and reduced lunch students as a grab and go option.

  • Students will have snacks in the classroom or cafeteria (Wildwood and Lake Drive), they will sanitize their hands by using hand sanitizer or washing hands prior and after eating.
