Scheduling decisions were informed by careful evaluation of the health and safety standards and the most up-to-date guidance from the New Jersey Department of Health (NJDOH), as well as the input of stakeholders about the needs of all students and the realities unique to our district.
School district policies were reviewed and confirmed to support in-person and virtual instruction.
Attendance and Instructional Time
School district policies for attendance and instructional contact time will accommodate opportunities for both synchronous and asynchronous instruction, while ensuring the requirements for a 180-day school year are met.
The school district will accommodate educators teaching in-person, hybrid, and virtual learning, in a way that allows all students to meet their required instructional hours for the day.
Field Trips, Extra-curricular Activities & Use of Facilities Outside of School Hours
No field trips will occur.
Extra-curricular activities will occur virtually, if appropriate.
Facilities will not be utilized by outside school hours.
Meals
Schools will operate on a 4 or 4 ½ hour session and lunch will not be served.
Lunch will be provided for the free and reduced lunch students as a grab and go option.
Students will have snacks in the classroom or cafeteria (Wildwood and Lake Drive), they will sanitize their hands by using hand sanitizer or washing hands prior and after eating.
