Lower Hill Design Details
Lower Hill Openspace Design
The Center Greenspace of the Lower Hill in this design is an outdoor adventure area, from a more natural urban forested area, to a plaza with a water feature full of rushing water. It serves as an outdoor connection area between the main commercial areas of the Lower Hill and facilitates the connection between the CAP Project and the rest of the Hill District.
Section Through Open Space Water Feature
Water Feature During the Day
During a sunny weekday the plaza around the water feature is full of activity. People are doing many different activities. Some rush back and forth between buildings during a normal work day, while others lazily stroll through boutique stores that line the greenspace. Children can be heard splashing in the interactive water feature. Further away from them, where the noise can mask the childrens' screams, users sit in a more secluded, forested area, relaxing and enjoying their afternoon break. This plaza space is enjoyed by many daily.
Lower Hill Streetscape Design
