The Mountainlair hallway outside of the WVU Student Government Office is filled with pictures of WVU Student Body Presidents. These pictures depict the dedicated Mountaineers that have been elected to fight for our community for decades, and to represent each and every student on campus .
There are 101 WVU Student Body Presidents hanging in this hallway. 95 are men. 99 are white.
Amaya Jernigan would be the first Black woman to hold the Office of WVU Student Body President. She knows that representation matters, and she has brought together a group of diverse student leaders from all across campus to Take Action.
The Action Ticket has brought together a group of students from every corner of campus, and nearly every walk of life. These student leaders are incredibly excited to expand their involvement on campus by working in the Student Government Association.
We are engineers, business leaders, philosophers, environmentalists, and musicians. We are RAs, athletes, student workers, club Presidents, and community activists. Most of us have never been involved with SGA before this year, and we're ready to get started working for you.
