Pareera is a sophomore double majoring in Accounting and Management Information systems with a minor in Business and Data Analytics. She is currently serving as the Vice President of Fundraising for Delta Sigma Pi, and is an active member of Women in Business and Management Information Systems Association. She is also an Ambassador for the Honors College and a Neidermeyer Scholar for ACCT 202. After being elected as college senator, she hopes to plan a safe return to campus, while also promoting campus-wide sustainability and enhancing the student experience. In her free time, Pareera loves going on runs and hikes. After graduation, she hopes to work as a technology consultant.

Raafay is a sophomore majoring in Biomedical Engineering from Morgantown, WV. He is currently serving as an officer for the Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES), American Chemical Society (ACS), and is also on the executive board for TEDxWVU, along with being a Teaching Assistant (TA) for the math department, working as an advanced student tech for central ITS, and serving as an on-site covid testing instructor. He is also an Honors College Ambassador. After being elected as college senator, he hopes to further promote DEI initiatives, work to enrich students’ academic experiences by creating on-campus internships and interactive events such as hack-a-thons, along with further enhancing accessibility to mental health resources on campus.

Jada is a junior studying aerospace engineering, and she hopes to join the Student Assembly to promote programs for Black and Brown students with the Statler College, creating safe space within Statler for diverse students to network. She is involved in undergraduate research, NAACP, and M-Power. Jada is incredibly passionate about creating more sustainable options on campus through reducing plastic and styrofoam use.

Devon Furash is a junior sport management student with minors in marketing and public relations. She is also in the Accelerated Bachelor's to Master's program for her major and is on her way to earning both her bachelor's and master's in sport management upon graduation in August of 2022. She is a member of the Pride of West Virginia Mountaineer Marching Band, NRHH, a student manager for the WVU Men’s Lacrosse team, an executive board member of the Rohr Chabad Jewish Center at WVU, and a resident assistant for the CPASS LLC. Devon's platform values will focus on the three pillars of sustainability: economic viability (a financial analysis of college tuition cost fluctuations over the years and during COVID-19, making higher education more affordable), environmental protection (implementing more sustainable resources on campus and in dining halls/dorms), and social equity (focusing on the fairness and justice of WVU’s social policy on campus).

Alexander San Nicolas (he/him/his) is currently a PhD student in WVU’s forensic science program. He has been involved with various student government activities for nearly 10 years, even serving 2 years as student body treasurer and one as student body president at Chaminade University of Honolulu. During his tenure, he has been involved in activities ranging from community outreach with reading stories with children at low income housing in Hawai’i, and as president hosted Lt. Governor Schatz (now a Senator in Hawai’i) in an open town hall with students. He also hosted an on-campus concert that was Chaminade University’s first event in several years that featured alcohol. In addition, he has served as a petitioner to the United Nations 4th Committee on Decolonization on advancing Guam’s political status. He also graduated as an Outstanding Graduate student for Chaminade’s MSFS program. Alex has a desire to advocate for change on behalf of students, and if elected would bring his collective experience as one of the most experienced student leaders in WVU’s SGA history. He would aim to focus on reconstructing WVU as a campus for the 21st century, update dilapidated campus buildings and incorporate new and emerging technology into classrooms. He currently works as a TA, and although is relatively new to Morgantown it reminds him of his home island of Guam. He is a Chamorro, a native Pacific Islander, and in his free time likes to cook and explore the wild and wonderful state of West Virginia.

Ethan is a third year environmental geoscience major who is also president of the Student Sierra Coalition and is involved with the WVU Outdoor Adventure Club. If elected Senator for Eberly College, Ethan will promote sustainability on campus and push for a greener future for WVU. This includes petitioning the university to stop the use of most single use plastics, continue tracking its emissions, and incorporate more green spaces on campus. Ethan is also focused on WVU students mental and physical health, through increased services through the Carruth Center and the safe re-opening of the rec center. Ethan also is concerned about representation for LGBTQ students and students of color.

Joshua Peters is a second year student studying political science from Macedon, NY. He initially got involved with SGA his freshman year through the intern program. Josh recently became a Founding Father of Sigma Alpha Mu. In addition, he is involved with the National Residence Hall Honorary and the Social Action Clinic. Josh is also a former Resident Assistant. In his free time Josh enjoys spending time with friends, watching the news, perfecting his coffee order, cheering on the Mountaineers, and hanging out with his new puppy. During his term, Josh plans to work closely with both the students and calculate who call the Eberly College of Arts and Sciences home. Josh is committed to pioneering efforts that cultivate a more collaborative and sustainable atmosphere within Eberly and beyond. Josh hopes to spotlight various groups, organizations, and diverse populations of students within his college to increase awareness, involvement, and eventually cross-over.

Jerry White is a 3rd year Exercise Physiology student with a minor in music.He is a member of the WVU Pre-Dental Club, Horn Club, Horn Studio, and a brother of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia. His platform is based off of the representation of LGBTQ+ students and making them feel safe while on campus. Due to recent attempts made by West Virginia legislators, he wants to ensure WVU remains a safe environment for students in the LGBTQ+ community and help provide them with resources. WVU is an institution that commits to providing all students an environment where they feel included and that every student is treated equally regardless of race, color, religion, sexuallity, gender identity, etc. He wants LGBTQ+ students not only to feel safe, but to also be able to feel as if they are the culture and diversity that makes WVU what it is.

Akili’Myah Francis is a second year Public Health student with a concentration in Community and Population Health. Outside of SGA, she is President of CleanerGreenerFoods Inc. and an active member of the NAACP. Akili previously served as an intern on the Diversity and Inclusions committee for SGA. If elected as a College Senator, her platform will be targeted towards three main campus issues: Infrastructure, minority representation, and availability of healthier food options. Akili plans to advocate for improvement of accessibility among campus buildings and an increase in recognition of Students of Color in Health Professions. She also intends to improve student nutrition by introducing a wider variety of healthier eateries on campus. Akili’s overall mission as a senator will be to create a comfortable, inclusive environment, while holistically accommodating to all faculty and students.

Alexis Zoglio is a sophomore music therapy major. She is a Junior Representative for the Student Music Therapy Association (SMTA), a RA for the Creative Arts LLC, and a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma. If elected as a senator, Alexis would advocate for more academic resources for creative arts students. This would include an increase in tutoring options, more practice spaces, and more advertising around campus for creative arts performances/events. In addition to helping students in creative arts majors, Alexis is passionate about helping all WVU students. Alexis wants to help improve students' wellness by working towards opening the rec center and increasing mental health resources on campus.
