Preschool Assessment Teams
Our preschool assessment teams evaluate three to five year olds in five areas of development: cognitive, communication, social emotional, physical, and adaptive, in order determine eligibility for Early Intervention services. The four assessment teams cover all three counties of the Midwestern Intermediate Unit IV: Butler, Central (Southern Mercer and Northern Butler counties), Lawrence, and Mercer. Please visit your areas assessment team to learn more about each team and the evaluation process.

MIU IV Feeding/Swallowing Team
The Feeding /Swallowing Team support students with feeding and swallowing difficulties to become safe and independent eaters by providing school staff with student-specific recommendations while in the school setting. Their goal is to keep children safe while eating and drinking at school, ensure adequate nutrition for optimal learning, and work toward student independence during mealtime. For more information on feeding /swallowing, the team, and contact information please visit our MIU IV Feeding/Swallowing Team website.
