Children looked at different signs and attempted to guess what they mean. This allowed children to understand the advantages/disadvantages of text, images, and text and images.

Children explored changing fonts, size and colour to edit a party invitation to make it more appealing and easy to read.

Children used 'Canva' to create a template for their newspaper report. They were introduced to the term 'placeholder' and set up their document ready for the next lesson.

Children used their Canva template from the last lesson to publish their Roman Workshop newspaper report from our English lessons this week. Children were able to use their new skills to edit the font, style, colours and size of their text and images to make it appealing to the reader.
