New Educator Workshop

Mineola UFSD has developed a comprehensive and formal learning process that promotes and supports professional development for all educators in all stages of their career. The District is committed to delivering high quality ongoing professional development that leads to increased student achievement. Mineola’s professional development design promotes and sustains continuous development, growth, and examination of practice with a multi-modal and multi-faceted approach. As a learning organization, the Mineola UFSD is proud to provide all untenured faculty with a comprehensive 4 year residency program.

New Educator Workshops develop and foster the professional growth of educators that are new to the Mineola Union Free School District. This workshop will support teachers as they learn district practices, both in the area of instruction and the day-to-day operations. The goal is to prepare faculty for a successful career in this district.

To develop:

The purpose of this webpage is to showcase best practices of teachers in the New Teacher Workshop. Mineola looks to support new teachers as they learn district practices, both in the area of instruction and the day-to-day operations in order to prepare faculty for a successful career in our district.

Projects can be found for each year of the New Teacher Workshop using the links at the top of this page. They are also organized by subject and grade level on the Research Projects page.
