Projects may be focused on other topics, however those connected to the theme will score higher in the Showcase Best of Show judging.

Projects off theme are still eligible for submission though they do lose some overall points in judging.
Personal Video/Podcast - video less than 5 minutes long, telling a digital narrative about theme. (video file must be .MP4, audio must be .MP3)
Informational Video/Podcast - video less than 3 minutes long, telling a digital expository story highlighting the theme. (video file must be .MP4, audio must be .MP3)
Public Service Announcement (PSA)- video less than 2 minutes long, message in the public interest to raise awareness and change behavior. (video MP4, audio MP3)
Graphic Design - Visuals that convey a unique perspective on the theme. (graphics file must be .JPEG or .PNG)
Each project category will have 2 "Best In Show" judging components for accepted projects (See Rules page for acceptable projects)
People's Choice Award - Voted on by MPS Staff, students and public
Critics Award - Judged by Media Arts Showcase Panel, based on rubrics found on the Rules page
