The library at MSA boasts a specialized print collection of over 3,000 books, designed to support our curriculum and continually updated to meet the needs of our student body. It serves as a key research hub, featuring two computers and access to a wide range of academic databases.
The mission of the MSA Library is to support the core values of the Miller School of Albemarle. Efforts include, but are not limited to, promoting the skills that foster life-long learning and information literacy, providing a collection that reflects the diverse backgrounds and interests of the MSA community, and the careful utilization of emerging technologies to stimulate creativity and intellectual curiosity. Acquisition efforts focus on developing a strong and diverse core collection of circulating materials that are well-suited to the academic and recreational needs of the Miller School students.
Mark DeBiasse joined the Miller School of Albemarle as Librarian/Media Specialist in 2025. He earned a B.A. in Psychology from Bucknell University, an M.A. in International Affairs from The George Washington University, and a Doctor of Letters in American Political Culture from Drew University. Mark is charged with managing the library's resources, services, and spaces to reflect the mission, values, and policies of Miller School of Albemarle. The scope of his work includes information literacy and study skills instruction, collection development and acquisitions, reference and circulation support, and the continuous evaluation and improvement of library services.
Mark previously served as Director of Programs at the Princeton-Blairstown Center, adjunct faculty at both Fairleigh Dickinson and Drew University, and as a social studies teacher and department chair at high achieving public schools in New Jersey.
In his free time, Mark enjoys music, reading memoirs and biographies, swimming, biking, hiking, golf, and spending time with his wife and son.
