Building and Construction Technology 2 is a third year course (recommended for grades 11-12) features an advanced study of building construction technology. Students are exposed to a variety of hands-on projects that help further develop the skills acquired in B & C I and also expand on new concepts and skills related to carpentry. In addition, students have the option to participate in the Career Connections program sponsored by the Hawaii Carpenters Apprenticeship and
Training Fund. Upon completion of the Career Connections program, students will receive a certificate and could be granted an opportunity to join the Carpenters Apprenticeship program. Students will also have the option of participating in a paid summer internship. This course completes the Advanced Building and Construction Technology Program of Study pathway if taken after successful completion of Foundations Of Construction and Building and Construction Technology 1.
