❏ Make an appointment with your counselor if you want to discuss course options - CONFIRM that your transcript and schedule will qualify you for graduation and for the college programs for which you plan to apply.
❏ Consult Milford HS graduation requirements and Honors Diploma Requirements
❏ Complete Physical Education Waiver Requirements, make certain your certification form is filled out
❏ Fill out a “Pre-Arranged College Visit” sheet available in the counseling Office if you are planning to take a day off school to visit a nearby college
❏ Take ACT at school
❏ Attend College/ Career Readiness Fair
❏ Check ACT/SAT testing dates and locations for the summer on www.act.org (ACT) or www.collegeboard.org (SAT) Decide which dates work best for you. Bring college codes to send scores.
❏ Consider asking teachers about letters of recommendation in person and request letters through SchooLinks.
❏ Summer Reading & Summer Homework -- Please make sure to complete summer reading and AP summer homework, if applicable. The Summer Reading Website. AP teachers will contact students with any summer work.

❏ College Preparation -- Beyond using the college search and preparation tools in SchooLinks, students should also consider completing 1-2 college visits during the summer. Students will have 2 college visit days during their senior year. Forms for college visit days can be picked up in the Main Office.
❏ Get Involved -- Beyond using the career and college search and preparation tools in SchooLinks, students could also consider completing some exploratory experiences over the summer. Students could also visit 1-2 colleges to start getting an idea of what types of schools interest them.
❏ Mark Your Calendar -- College Application Bootcamp: This event takes place prior to the start of school-- Students are invited to register to receive help with college applications. The event will take place over the course of three days with two sessions to choose from in the morning or afternoon. We will go over the Common Application, individual school applications, essay writing and revision, and individualized help with the process. Make sure that you are ahead of the game by attending this free workshop!
❏ Mark Your Calendar -- College 101 is the largest college event of the year at Milford HS. At this event, you will be able to attend a financial aid information presentation and hear about the steps that seniors need to take to apply to college. This is a great way to start or continue the college exploration process!
