Measuring skills 

This section to be developed by Science STEM teacher. Videos and exercise cards/activities to help guide: 

Measuring skills we would like Y7 to be confident in:

• Using a ruler to measure mm

• Using a protractor to measure degrees

• Understanding mass and volume

• Able to read volumes in a marked vessel

Skills that would be advantageous:

• Understand zero errors

• Understand resolution of measuring devices

• Use dimensions when designing.

• Converting between mm, cm and m.
