Graphs are used to graphically display data. Big tables of numbers can be difficult to interpret so a graph is a good way to present your findings. Different types of graphs are better for displaying certain types of information.
A Bargraph compares a range of values
A Line Graph shows change or trends
A Pie Chart shows values in relation to one another
A Pictogram uses images instead of numbers for ease of reading
In different subjects you might use graphs in slightly different ways, the list below show some examples:
Science/Technologies approach- infer, mid data point etc?
Maths approach- find trend, predict, calculate
Humanities- why? Explain?
Cross curricular- communicate results/findings in a clear way
