At Milestones English Academy, we understand that starting your studies in a new environment can be exciting and challenging. Orientation is designed to help you settle in, understand our policies, and get to know your new campus. During orientation, you can expect:
A warm welcome from our friendly staff and fellow students.
Information about our courses, attendance requirements, and important policies.
A step-by-step guide to accessing support services, including academic and personal support.
Introduction to MEA’s facilities, resources, and how to navigate the campus.
A presentation on living in Melbourne, cultural norms, and tips for adjusting to life in Australia.

Placement Testing and Class Allocation
Placement Testing and Class Allocation
To ensure you’re placed in the class that best suits your current English proficiency, you’ll complete a placement test during orientation.
What to Expect: The test assesses your reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.
Next Steps: Based on your results, you will be placed in a class appropriate to your level, such as General English or one of our specialised programs like IELTS Preparation or Business English.
Class Schedule: Once your class is allocated, you will receive a timetable and information on your assigned classroom and teacher.
If you have any concerns about your placement, speak to our Academic Manager or Student Services team.
Campus Tour
Campus Tour
As part of orientation, you’ll participate in a campus tour to help you familiarise yourself with MEA’s facilities. Highlights of the tour include:
Classrooms: Spacious and equipped with modern learning tools.
Common Areas: Relaxation zones, study spaces, and student kitchens on.
Student Services: Located on Level 1, where you can seek assistance with any enquiries.
Counselling Room: For private discussions and support services.
Emergency Exits: Clear guidance on evacuation routes for your safety.
