Managing your fees is an essential part of your enrolment at MEA. To ensure a smooth and hassle-free experience, we’ve outlined all the important details related to fees, payments, and refunds.
When you enrol at MEA, you may need to pay the following fees depending on your chosen course and additional services:
Tuition Fees: Covers your academic classes and associated teaching resources.
Enrolment/Application Fees: A one-time, non-refundable fee payable during the application process.
Material Fees: Charges for course materials such as textbooks, handouts, and online resources (if applicable).
Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC): Mandatory for student visa holders to maintain health insurance in Australia.
Accommodation Placement Fees: For students opting for homestay or other organised accommodation.
Other Administrative Fees: Such as fees for late payments, ID card replacement, or additional certificates (where applicable).
Late Payment and Consequences
To maintain your enrolment, it is essential to pay fees on time. Late payment may lead to:
Late Payment Fees: Additional charges will be applied for overdue payments.
Suspension of Services: Access to classes, academic records, or other services may be restricted until the overdue amount is settled.
Reporting to Authorities: For student visa holders, unpaid fees may result in MEA reporting non-compliance to the Department of Home Affairs (DHA), which could affect your visa status.
MEA offers multiple payment options to accommodate your needs. Here’s how you can pay your fees:
Bank Transfer:
Payments can be made via international or domestic bank transfers.
Bank account details are provided in your offer letter or invoice.
Ensure to include your Student ID and Full Name as a reference when making payments.
Credit/Debit Card:
Payments can be made in person at the MEA Student Services Office or online.
Additional processing fees (upto 2.5%) may apply for credit card payments.
In-Person Payments:
Visit the MEA campus at Lygon Street, Carlton, during office hours to make your payment via EFTPOS.
Instalment Payment Plans:
MEA offers instalment plans for students to pay their tuition fees in smaller, manageable portions.
The instalment schedule must be agreed upon at the time of enrolment.
Payments must strictly adhere to the approved schedule.
Refund Policy
MEA is committed to maintaining a fair and transparent refund policy aligned with the ESOS Act 2000, National Code 2018, and ELICOS Standards.
Refund Scenarios:
Visa Refusal:
A refund will be processed upon receiving the visa refusal letter.
Any deductions will be in line with MEA’s refund terms.
Provider Default:
If MEA is unable to deliver the course, students will receive a full refund of any unspent tuition fees.
Student-Initiated Cancellation:
Refunds will depend on the timing of the cancellation request and meeting refund policy conditions.
How to Request a Refund:
Complete the Refund Request Form (available on the MEA website or at Student Services).
Attach necessary evidence, such as a visa refusal letter or medical documents.
Submit the form to studentservices@milestones.vic.edu.au or in person.
Refunds are processed within 28 days after all required documents are submitted.
Important Notes on Refunds
Refunds are issued in Australian dollars (AUD) and may be subject to exchange rate fluctuations.
Enrolment fees and other administrative fees are non-refundable.
Refunds are transferred back to the original payer or account used for payment.
