Matsusaka High School has been designated for this program for five years starting in fiscal 2021.

SSH Activities at Matsusaka High School
In the future, as we anticipate facing various challenges, our goal is for each student to possess a strong sense of purpose, think independently, embrace diverse challenges, and acquire the ability to pave the way for the future.
Specifically, we will conduct exploratory activities across a wide range of fields for all students. In their first year, students will learn the methods of problem-solving through activities in natural sciences and social sciences. In their second year, they will engage in group projects based on their individual interests and passions.
We also have plans to implement numerous initiatives unique to SSH (Science, Society, and Humanities) that will expand students' potential, including presentations in the Tokai region and nationwide, visits to universities and companies, and international study programs.
This program aims to equip students with the skills and knowledge necessary to confront future challenges while fostering their personal growth. By combining learning and experiences from different disciplines, it will broaden students' diverse capabilities and perspectives.
At Matsusaka High School, we evaluate presentations and other activities based on the rubric sheet on the left. There are a total of five criteria, with one or two criteria set for each criterion. In cases where two criteria are set, both must be met.
On June 12, 2025, Matsusaka Senior High School held its annual SSH Research Presentation at Kuragi Cultural Hall. Eight groups selected as representatives during the poster session held in April delivered oral presentations.
Many of the groups had further deepened their research by conducting additional experiments and analyses based on the questions and feedback they received during the poster session. As a result, the quality of the presentations was significantly enhanced.
Based on evaluations by the judges, the Best Presentation Award, Excellent Presentation Awards, and Good Presentation Award were selected. Additionally, the Special Award was determined through student voting. Reports on educational practices and the upcoming training program in Taiwan were also shared during the event.

On April 23, 2025, Matsusaka High School held its annual Poster Presentation Day for the 2025 academic year. Third-year students showcased the results of 89 research projects they conducted during their second year as part of the "Advanced Inquiry I" course.
This year, we adopted a new format for the event. In the first half, students gave oral presentations in classrooms as part of the evaluation process. In the second half, poster presentations were held in the gymnasium and the martial arts hall, providing opportunities for open discussion and exchange of ideas.
The top eight groups from this event will represent Matsusaka High School at the Matsusaka High School SSH Research Presentation, to be held at Kuragi Cultural Hall on June 12.
