Personal Experiences
In exploring different models of care, birth practices in the United States, and the safety of out of hospital birth I found that this course provided me with a great foundation in the Midwifery Model of Care. The readings, discussions, and assignments all built upon one another to help students understand the fluidity of the different models of care and start considering our own philosophies about birth and where we as future midwives "fit" within these models.
