Our flagship scholarship program provides financial support to Texas high school seniors who plan to attend an accredited college, university, or trade school.
Eligibility
All graduating high school seniors who are Texas residents and ready to pursue higher education are eligible to apply. Masonic affiliation is a positive factor considered during the selection process, but it is not a requirement.
Award Amount
$2,500 deposited directly into the student’s college, university, or trade school account. Funds may be used for tuition and fees and expire after four years. Number of Awards: 200 annually.
Application Deadline
The application window opens on October 1st and closes on March 1st annually. Winners are notified by email on April 15th.
Amount: a full ride, last dollar scholarship that covers up to eight semesters

Criteria:
Academic Achievements, as evident through grades and SAT/ACT scores
A record of leadership in school and community
financial need vis FASFA
Must be a citizen or a permanent resident with Texas residency
High school graduate
Admitted to one of the above colleges.
Reside on campus for first year of school
Be nominated by one of the above universities.

Multiple scholarships for ONE application.
1. Complete all required fields on the application. (Note: Students applying for the Welch Foundation, Red Oak Foundation, and Moorad Scholarships must also complete additional statements.)
2. Have the following items on-hand to upload. If you do not include these items, your application will be incomplete and will not be considered.
A transcript from your high school which lists your SAT and/or ACT scores. If your transcript does not include test scores, but you did take either of these tests, include a screenshot or scanned copy of your results from the College Board and/or ACT. If you did not take these tests, you will not need to submit scores.
A letter of recommendation from one of the following school administrators: superintendent, principal, assistant principal, UIL coach, or counselor.
A copy of the page 1 and 2 of your parent(s) or guardian's most recent IRS form 1040. Social security numbers and bank routing numbers should be blacked out. If this form is unavailable, provide a letter of explanation from your parent, guardian, or one of the school administrators listed above.
A copy of your financial aid letter from your chosen college or university. If you do not have a financial aid letter, you may submit a copy of your full FAFSA Student Aid Report (SAR).

Students who meet the following criteria:
Must have competed at the UIL Academic State Meet, Congressional Debate State Meet, One-Act Play State Meet, or Theatrical Design State Meet OR must have advanced to the octofinal round (second day) of the Cross Examination Debate State Meet, OR must be a state finalist in the Barbara Jordan Historical Essay Competition, the Latino History Essay Competition, or the Young Filmmakers Festival OR must have been a member of one of the top 10 teams per competition group at the BEST, FIRST, or RECF-VEX state robotics contests
Must plan to attend an accredited college or university in the state of Texas
Must enroll full-time in college and maintain a 2.5 college GPA (some scholarships require higher GPAs
Must be graduating from high school during the current academic year
PLEASE NOTE: participation only in ATHLETIC or MUSIC contests does not qualify a student to apply for a TILF scholarship. A student MUST advance to state in an ACADEMIC contest to apply.
