Samsung American Legion Scholarship:
Amount: $1500-10,000
Criteria:
direct descendant of a war time Veteran(honorably discharged)
direct descendants of Korean War Era Vaterans recieve bonus points
Between junior and senior year
Attend the current session of American Legion Boy/Girl state programs.
DEADLINE: Day of 1 of their program.
Army ROTC National Scholarship:
Amount: Full Financial Assistance
Criteria:
US Citizen
High school diploma
GPA of 2.5 or Higher
Have take SAT or ACT
Take Army Combat Fitness Test
Meet physical height and weight requirements
Agree to accept a commission and serve in the Army, Army Reserve, or Army National Guard
Texas National Guard Tuition Assistance
Amount: varies
Criteria:
Actively drilling Texas Guard members of any of the following:
Texas Army National Guard (TXARNG),
Texas Air National Guard (TXANG),
Texas State Guard (TXSG)
Have completed Basic Training (or its equivalent)
Be attending an accredited Texas college or university
Be pursuing:
an academic certificate
an undergraduate degree (associate or bachelor)
a graduate or professional degree (master's, PhD, Doctorate)
A State TA application must be submitted each semester that aid is needed
Process is divided into 5 phrases of review run throughout the duration of the semester.
