The 2026 Coca-Cola Scholars Program application is open for high school students graduating in the 2025-2026 academic year. The deadline to submit a full application is 5 p.m. Eastern on Tuesday, September 30, 2025.
To be eligible for consideration, applicants must be:
Currently enrolled high school/home-schooled students attending school in one of the 50 U.S. states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, or select DoD schools who will graduate high school during the 2025-2026 academic school year (students graduating from an American or expat school abroad who meet the other eligibility requirements are not eligible for this award; individuals who have already graduated from high school are not eligible)

Established in 1947, our Voice of Democracy® audio-essay program provides high school students with the unique opportunity to express themselves in regards to a democratic and patriotic-themed recorded essay. Each year, more than 26,400 ninth through 12th grade students from across the country enter to win their share of more than $1.4 million in educational scholarships and incentives awarded through the program.
The national first place winner receives a $35,000 scholarship paid directly to the recipient’s American university, college or vocational/technical school. A complete list of other national scholarships range from $1,000-$21,000, and the first place winner from each VFW Department (state) wins at least a scholarship of $1,000. Students interested in participating must submit their audio essay prepared on this year's theme, with a completed 2025-2026 entry form, to their local participating VFW Post. Find your sponsoring local VFW Post as essays must be turned in by midnight, Oct. 31.
The 2025-26 theme is: “How Are You Showing Patriotism and Support for Our Country?”
To be eligible for the 10 Words or Less Scholarship a student must:
A) Be between the ages of 14-25 who will be attending school in the Fall of 2026.
B) Be attending a school in the US or Canada in the Fall of 2026.

Scholarship funds awarded to winners must be used for education, such as tuition and related fees, books, supplies, and equipment required for courses at an accredited post-secondary educational institution.
GPA Level Requirement: 2.5 or higher
Students must provide a 300-word (high school) or 500-word (college) essay on “How Denny’s can help bring communities together?”.
Student must also provide the following:
A recent portrait photo (headshot), suitable for use in any printed literature announcing the recipients. Selfies or cropped photos are not accepted.
Most recent school transcript, all transcripts must be attached as a PDF document. Unofficial Transcripts are accepted.
Applicants must submit a one-page resume in PDF form.
Scholarship award: Students will receive a one-time, non-renewable scholarship of $2,000.
