• All students will be choosing a Library book at the end of their Library lessons

•  3rd graders will be permitted to place books on Hold to pick up in the Library ~ not limited to Library days

• ALL Library books are loaned for 1 week

• All Library books are due back to the Library the DAY BEFORE class

• All students will be permitted to borrow one book per week

• 2nd & 3rd graders who borrow longer chapter books may request a renewal for an additional week

2nd and 3rd graders who are reading longer chapter books may renew their book for one extra week.

You will need to follow these procedures to RENEW your Library book:

Week 1:

• write on a post-it note:  PLEASE RENEW MY BOOK and remember to sign your name. 

• Place the post-it note on the book return shelf on top of your teachers name.

Week 2:

• bring the book on your Library day to renew it again.

• ALL Library books should be returned to the Librarybookshelf in the hallway the day before your scheduled Library class

• ALL Library books should be returned in the same condidtion that they were borrowed

• If your Library book gets Damaged or is Lost, please let Mrs. Erchick know as soon as possible

DIRECTIONS TO PLACE BOOKS ON-HOLD

• On your ChromeBook click WATCHUNG BOOKMARKS

• In the Drop down menu click on WATCHUNG LIBRARY SEARCH

• Click LOGIN in the upper right hand corner

• Click the BLUE GOOGLE SIGN-IN box

• Scroll down to, the TOPICS bar, or POPULAR TITLES

  • Click on one of these choices to scroll through the book titles to look for a book that interests you

OR

• Type your topic into the blue search bar at the top of the screen and click on the magnifying glass to search

• Click on the BLUE HOLD box next to the book you have chosen

• If you change your mind, you can click the BLUE UNHOLD box to remove the hold you placed on the book

• You will see a message that the book is available to you at the bottom of your screen

• HOLDS placed will be ready for you to borrow on your next Library day
