2nd Grade Parade Float STEAM Challenge
Our 2nd Graders will be participating in an 8-week STEAM Challenge.
The STEAM Challenge is based on the Biography of Anthony (Tony) Sarg. BALLOONS OVER BROADWAY: THE TRUE SORY OF THE PUPPETEER OF MACY'S PARADE.
Each table group chose 3-4 cardboard boxes. Their STEAM Challenge, using critical thinking and problem-solving strategies (along with collaboration, creativity, and compromise) is to create a Parade Float of a storybook character.

Each of the 12 table groups was asked to send 1 person to choose 3-4 boxes from the BIG selection that was collected from all of the staff since August.
It was a collaborative effort within the table groups since their design themes required specific shaped boxes.
