Music

Who should take the placement exam:
All students who wish to place out of Music 0160, Music Theory I: Fundamentals, should take this exam. A score of C or better is required to receive placement into courses that have MUSC 0160 as a prerequisite.

Students with an AP score of 4 or 5 in music theory may take this exam. If they receive a grade of C or better, they will receive credit for MUSC 0160 and are eligible for placement into courses that have MUSC 0160 as a prerequisite.

Exam components:
Students will take a 30-minute written test.
