The course is divided into 8 units with 8 quizzes. Each unit involves reading the handout, going through the slideshow, visiting the sites listed in each unit for required reading (when indicated in the lesson plan), and preparing the homework assignments and handing in the quizzes requiring approximately three hours per unit.
A required quiz monitors your progress and understanding at the end of each unit. These quizzes can be accessed from within each course unit. Unit 3 has 2 quizzes while unit 7 doesn't have a quiz to allow for time to complete the case assignment.
Two case studies are required as part of the course and one academic mentorship session will help with the integration of the course materials and the application of the teachings in the case studies. It is recommended that you make the appointment after handing in the first case study (and before attempting the second case study).
You are also encouraged to learn in a holistic way - not just with your brain, but with your whole organism, and all dimensions of consciousness. This course involves being able to perceive the details and qualities of an injury you are treating as well as other symptoms and the state of mind and emotion that someone may be in. Completing the holistic integration exercises can help us to do that.
Holistic Integration is an integral part of the learning process at MICH. The holistic integration exercises help you get the most out of your MICH training. They are designed to assist you in the following ways:
To better integrate what you are learning by involving not only your mind, but your whole body-mind organism through whole body-mind experiences.
To put into practice some of the tools that you will be using as a homeopath with your clients. These tools are useful and effective life tools that can be used by any holistic practitioner.
To understand the possible obstacles for clients when applying these tools, and finding ways of modifying them.
To help you "walk the talk", so that your guidance is not only theoretical.
Consider having some form of journal, preferably one you can carry around with you, to note your reflections and experiences related to the holistic exercises.
Note that the holistic integration exercises in each unit are central to your learning but are not evaluated. They provide a bigger perspective, a container for understanding the course material but do not appear in the quizzes or tests.
MICH is a vehicle of holistic learning. We have been a leading-edge exploration of health, healing and the human embodiment of awareness offering leading-edge courses in the form of professional training for holistic professionals since 2005. Our courses are based on more than 25 years of holistic clinical practice and research.
Our courses are based on a UKD principle. Each course must offer a deeper, holistic and in-depth understanding (U) of the subject offered. Based on that understanding, knowledge (K) is imparted and integrated. With both the understanding and the required knowledge, the student is able to do (D) something different in their practice or lives.
