It is recommended to review the main teachings of Noumedynamic Health as it complements First Aid Homeopathy. It provides a deeper understanding of health and life and will provide all the necessary elements for creating a healthier and more holistic lifestyle, individually customized to your needs. A further, deeper understanding will come from the course Discover Holism at the end of the Foundation Level.
Discover the magic of homeopathy in this introductory course that will provide you with the basics you need to know in order to use homeopathy first aid with your family, your pets or your self. It introduces the principles of homeopathy as a system of medicine and describes some 40 remedies that can be used around the home. Examples from homeopaths’ practice will bring the remedies to life and help you distinguish between them.
Be guided by an experienced homeopath, and naturopath with a medical background, Carla Marcelis. Carla is a MICH-trained homeopathic practitioner with many years of clinical practice. She obtained her degree in Naturopathy in 1997, after previously having completed 6 years of medical training.
Carla is a MICH clinical supervisor and teaches advanced courses for homeopaths and homeopaths in training at MICH. She is a wonderful resource for both interns and practicing homeopaths alike.
Carla also leads the MICH homeopathic missions to Honduras. She generously shares her wealth of knowledge and years of practical clinical experience, as she helps you to use homeopathic knowledge to treat first aid situations.
You will have the opportunity to ask questions and discuss your cases with her in our online classroom.

The course helps you distinguish first aid situations that can be treated with homeopathy, even by a lay person. Homeopathy is a wonderful ecological and accessible medicine that has a wide range of applications, from the cuts and scrapes in daily life to the deep chronic diseases that plague our society. This course is an introduction to the breath of homeopathy with a focus on using homeopathic remedies at home and at play.
The course covers a variety of situations that one can come across in daily life, such as bruises and cuts, frostbite and sunburn, insect bites and traveler's diarrhea. More precisely, the course aims at helping the student to understand the basic tenets of first aid homeopathy, such as:
To have a basic understanding of homeopathic principles
To have a basic understanding of the making and proving of remedies
To have a basic understanding of the application of potencies;
To be introduced to the use of repertories and Materia Medica;
To become familiar with the concepts of external cause and acute disease;
To be introduced to some 40 remedies that can be used in acute, first aid situations;
To practice giving a remedy in a first aid situation.
After successful completion of this course, you should be able to understand, apply, and explain the basic principles of homeopathy and treat simple first aid situations.
This is an online self-guided course, providing one mentorship session and a practical aspect of giving a remedy in two first aid situations. Students are expected to read the appropriate texts and prepare the homework assignments, requiring approximately three hours per unit, including one quiz per unit.
